Queer Jewish Writer

My Story
Hi, I’m Andrew—a queer, Jewish writer who found God in the footnotes and humor in the margins. I’m the creator of WTF, Torah?, a project that tackles the Torah’s most chaotic moments with irreverence, honesty, and a deep love for the sacred mess of it all.

I converted to Judaism after years of questioning, searching, and shouting “Wait…what?!” at my Bible. What started as sarcastic margin notes during Torah study has grown into a growing community of people who want to engage with tradition without checking their brain—or identity—at the door.

My work explores the tension between ancient texts and modern life, especially for those of us who’ve been told we don’t belong in religious spaces. Spoiler alert: we do. And we’ve always been part of the story.

When I’m not deep in a WTF moment with the Torah, I write essays, post snarky commentary on TikTok [@WTFTorah], and sometimes even remember to update my blog.
Welcome to the sacred mess. There’s room for you here.
